Hi, I’m Ash-

… a life long lover of Horses, obsessed with learning, mum of two.

Almost 30 years ago, I started my horse journey on a borrowed pony at Hastings District Pony Club camp and I have been hooked ever since!

I went on to compete at State, Royal and National level with Show Horses and later our Australian Stock Horses. I took a break from competing whilst studying my BA Bus/Law, working and starting our family although horses have always been in the background.

Through my own personal journey of rebuilding my skills and confidence post babies, I have been led down many learning rabbit holes and approached my horse training with a new sense of curiosity.

My approach is a blend of my interests - proven methods from great Horse Trainers, snippets from Mindfulness, Yoga, Hypnotherapy and nervous system work.

Horsemanship skills are one part of the equation but the way we deliver those skills and the energy we bring to our horses is equally important.

The Foundation Checklist is something I put together for myself after attending some great clinics and re-experiencing the benefits of simple and clear groundwork and effective riding exercises.

As my young horses thrived with this kind of training, I started to share what was working with my friends and Redbank Riding Co was born.

I continue to learn and I am excited to be part of the 2026 TRT Advanced Trainer Program, you can find more info about the TRT Method here.

I love sharing my passion for horses.

If you have been looking for a safe space to learn horsemanship and grow your connection with horses, welcome - you are in the right place!
